One for the Joy Division fans now. Dunno who'll dig it or hate it but the purists should get the fuck off my soapbox and let me preach for a change as I A/ Am better looking B/ Have a life and C/ Can cure all diseases/war & famine in a day. A curious numbered white label 7" by DJ Methodist Ft Molara that sounds like a grungy DIY electro pop version of 'Digital' with muffled female vocals. It could've been an utter disaster but it really retains the spirit of the original whilst taking it in a slightly different direction. It's the home made charm that shines through, sounding like she's come round his house for a fag & a cuppa & been coerced into plugging in a cheap mike & letting rip over this pulsating rudimentary backing. Anyone who buys this & has a passion for J Div (like me), please e-mail us your thoughts on it as we all really dig itBe the first to review this record.
