Ninja High School - Young Adults Against Suicide

Young Adults Against Suicide by Ninja High School

Eclectic forward thinking indie labels don't come much more erm.....eclectic & forward thinking as Tomlab. recent signings Ninja High School. This prankster bunch  hit you hard with their melting pot of a debut album screaming "look at us! We're zany!" The nearest comparison for me is possibly Crack Village with the multi layered & skewed urban sound collage, wacky old-skool hip hop patterns, euphoric party attitude & male/female tag-team rapping. It's all pretty lightweight intellectually but if you want a fun as fuck party record with some integrity then go for this over the majority of half-assed dross marketed as such. For fans of The Go! Team's jump up attitude, Aussie junk-hop crew Bumblebeez & The Avalanche's kaleidoscopic head fests. Also, if ANYONE is still listening to that bloody 2 Many DJ's mix, you need some new wax, dudes.
