Like Arcade Fire if they were more indebted to maybe the likes of Thinking Fellers rather than Mercury Rev & der Flaming Lips, this album gets richer & more fascinating on each listen. Quirky? They are the kings & queens of quirk, capital city of Kook in Bizarreland. You can hear that adorable eccentric pop sensibility pouring from every richly layered tune. About 5 different levels to each song without being remotely pretentious or prog. Just incredibly musically adept, shambolically harmonic & utterly in love with the power of SOUND.
