Micah P Hinson has a new 8 track CD out called 'The Baby & The Satellite'. Never really got caught up in the frenzy over this guy, even though we sold loads of his last jobbie. Touted as the next Conor Oberst on the sleeve, that doesn't really make me wanna cream my keks. Some nice shambling, earnest folk-tinged musings spill from the speakers. There's a stilted charm to these songs & I think his voice is quite rich, like Smog or Willy Mason. Think Clint'd have a field day with this (probably hate it.....) but to these ears there's a depth & warmth here that'd appeal to anyone from Bright Eyes gazers to Mercury Rev fans.
