The Boy Least Likely To - The Best Party Ever

The Best Party Ever by The Boy Least Likely To

Out of print since 2006, the debut album from The Boy Least Likely To is now available again on mid price CD.

Upon its release it garnered amazing critical reviews everywhere from Rolling Stone to British Vogue and across blogs the world over. It ended the year with an inclusion in the Pitchfork Top 50 albums of the year and the Rough Trade Shops Top 10 albums of the year.

Strongly influenced by the independent bands of the 1980s, the songs bring to mind the post punk playfulness of Altered images, Aztec Camera, Dexys Midnight Runners, and Orange Juice. A charming rural pop album with banjos, glockenspiels, recorders and fiddles thumping away in a quirky indie folk style. The music is heartfelt and uplifting with unique and sweetly eccentric lyrics. This is disco music with a country heart. Sublime pop moments tinged with an English folk eccentricity. Sad songs that can't help but make you smile
The Best Party Ever includes the singles 'Be Gentle With Me', 'Hugging My Grudge', 'I'm Glad I Hitched My Apple Wagon To Your Star', 'Fur Soft as Fur' and 'Paper Cuts'. Over the last few years the songs from this outstanding debut have been used to advertise everything from Coca Cola to the ipod, and have featured in films and tv shows across the world, including Juno and Grey's Anatomy. 'Hugging My Grudge' is currently being used as the title music to BBC2's The Delicious Miss Dahl and 'Be Gentle With Me' is currently being used in the Coca Cola recycle advert worldwide.
