And Fats back in the future with a new single by Bonnie Prince Billy & Matt Sweeney or Bonny & Sweeney as they're referred to on the sleeve. The two new super cops of country..... Bonny and Sweeney fighting crime and serving up their own brand of special country rock justice. In between all this crime fighting they've managed to find the time to record a new single which is along the lines of the more sombre miserable Will Oldham I like best. It's far from rocking and it's nice to know that in between catching pimps in their cribs and recording Puff The Magic Dragon he can still thrill me every once in a while. I Gave You is on 2 track 7" and CD single....The times are a turbulent. Outward struggles addle the mind and become internal. A man really has to wrestle with his demons these days. But Bonnie and Sweeney keep giving. One way or another, they give and give and give. This dandy-enhanced CD, featuring the song I Gave You from this years fantastic SUPERWOLF album is just one more example of how far Bonnie and Sweeney will go for their fans. Full of mystery, intrigue, hand-wringing and furrowed brows. If I say more, Ill just give it away ... The three non-album tracks, Four Screams, Birch Ballad and My Circle round out the four songs on the CD single. Linked in their haunting sombre tones and the heartful mischief Bonnie and Sweeney fans have come to know and love.
