This record left our Phil feeling sad.

Here we have the new album by The Shortwave Set who've gone all big and signed to Independiente. As ever you'd expect it to be all watered down, as is the case with major label debuts, and you won't be disappointed. So what's it like? Well it's got 'Slingshot' on it which is one of the greatest songs ever written and it's worth 10 times the prices of the album alone. The rest of the album is quite commercial and poppy with the odd exception. Sixties pop tunes made with un-conventional sounds but made very glossy. It's not bad by any stretch on the means. I was just expecting utter greatness.
