The Cazals follow up their debut sold out single with a new 7"/CD on 1-2-3-4 records. As you'd expect it's spiky jerky guitar gear, as is almost everything that's released these days. This sounds like a less moddy and more new wave version of The Jam. That sums it up so nicely in fact there's almost no point me writing anything else about it, aside from the fact that it's a bit good and way better than the last plate they subjected us to. Trying to differentiate between bands at the mo is being increasingly more difficult.

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
