Oi you want some beguiling lo-fi folk? Well check out this rather magnificent CD by Infant a.k.a. Andrew Fearn from Nottingham. 'Pony Gear' is a strange lolloping record. Quirky & slow, organic to the max & rather splendidly skewiff, it harnesses some very subtle electronics to sublime wonky guitar coming across to these ears like a latter day bedroom Tom Waits in parts or mogadoned Talk Talk (once again, latter day!) Really hard to pigeonhole & I must say this would be more Clint's field as he's very partial to this kind of thing. Possibly for devotees of The Remote Viewer, Hood's more pastoral musings & all that excellent stuff on Float we had in around 18 months ago!Be the first to review this record.
