So to lighten up I put on the new single by The Departure which is available on CD and 7". The cover is extremely new wave which it would have to be. Musically it's very new wave which it would have to be. Chameleons, Psychedelic Furs etc.... That's who this sounds like. I want to be nice about it but I'm very un inspired this time...I was convinced I was listening to the B side but then I released I couldn't be as it was a CD. How odd....

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
