Not sure about Sleater-Kinney's new mature direction, really. This single 'Entertain' is more their stamping ground than the rest of the over-indulgent & flabby forthcoming album, 'The Woods'. The sound is fuller, the pace more sluggish but the energy & fury are intact as is the caterwauling lead vocal & It's catchy enough. The spiky new-wave-isms are all but gone & that's what I loved about them. Note: they now prop up the likes of Pearl Jam on tour. Grooooan!
