What we say

Rating: angry This record left our Phil feeling angry.

First on the hitlist is Wolfman featuring heroin hoover Pete Doherty. I saw these 2 on that telly box in the corner of my room this week on that Max Carlish documentary. I would like to say that however much I cannot condone violence in any way I'm totally surprised that Doherty didn't murderise him. Even though he's clearly off his trolly 24/7 he can still tell if someone's an arsehole or not. (He obviously has no mirror in his bin liner/cardboard box, natch xx Brian) Mind you I still think he makes dreadful music and here he is again purveying his evil again with Wolfman (London trendy goth poet who also chases the horse). I'm not one to quote fictitious school counsellors from cartoons but to quote Mr Mackey "Drugs are bad, 'mkey," etc etc.... on 7" and CD and very limited so I'm assured. Jolly good or not so perhaps... So much swearing too.....

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
