What we say

Rating: ecstatic This record left our Brian feeling ecstatic.

If 'Johnny Cash' by Sons & Daughters didn't make you want to stamp holes in the dancefloor of yer local indie disco & lavish attention on the nearest feisty Scottish lady then you've obviously got no ears or are a tiny field mouse with a penchant for the Raster Noton back catalogue. If you want more (like me) then hold yer breath no more. 'Dance Me In' is a sexy, grinding, whooping & marching strut of soulful yet edgy low slung POP, a radio hit in waiting that could unite both a group of stroppy indie teens & a barn of line dancing grans & grandads alike - that much of a gut punching stomper. There's also a healthy dose of lingering malice about this band that I REALLY LIKE! Nice one! On 2 coloured 7"s & some CD single or other.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
