Growing. That'll be those spacerock people who released a doom-ambient opus on Kranky last year. We're having a discussion here, me & the boys, as to what real merits this type of music has & how Growing can be elevated beyond the usual plethora of drone-ey, drift-ey doom-ey space ambience practitioners. Their 18 min contribution, 'Firmament', stems from a 2002 session & will keep you warm & womblike whilst floating & dribbling in yr space capsule This nice split CD twins them with Mark Even Burden, obviously some kind of piano murdering maniac. This rolling & clattering 15 minute piece sees the ivories hammered to bits by 23 four year old children overdosing on cherry coke & liqueurs. Barry says reminiscent of old black & white horror film music but more bizarre & twisted. Smashing!Be the first to review this record. Best reviewer each month gets £10 off their next order!
