Always wanted to know what Barbara Morgenstern looked like & now with her collaborative album with To Rococo Rot's Robert Lippok I can gaze upon her features (hehe..). 'Tesri' is a tuneful collection of fresh electronic pop speckled with authentic soul & warmth, featuring a couple of guest vocalists but largely instrumental. Like in the work of Psapp & Berlin's Ellen Allien, you can immediately sense the feminine pulse & gentle playfulness in the music, an inventive stew of dreamy atmospherics , whirring/jingling wonderment & consistently danceable rhythms.
