If that wasn't enough to implode yer cerebral cortex, then Defazed might be able to help with the 'Cortex Run' 12" E.P., 4 tracks of relentless breakcore drum 'n babble, gabba rave with acid klaxons, intense darkcore jungle & the kind of dedication to outright musical mayhem that would have Shitmat yelling 'glibber gackwedge arse trumpet' down the phone at 'em in Flemish. WickedDefazed is a new producer working at the cutting-edge of underground dance music technology. His precision programming and futuristic production techniques have enabled him to regularly perform fresh material at clubs and freeparties in Bristol and the south-west UK. 'Cortex Run' is his debut 12" EP on 1 Man Army Records.
Defazed attacks the predetermined categoristic avenues with this savage re-interpretation of the way things should be on the dancefloor in the year 2005.
Cortex Run is a physical and cerebral assault of futuristic breaks and fierce sounding basslines. Savage, drilling, bio-tech rhythms, exploding from dark, organic undercurrents. A new form of future dance music for the next generation of hardcore electronic music fans.
A1 'Cortex Run' is a hypermanic cybertrip of mashup beats in a vortex of howling synths and hardcore bass. This track is totally progressive and suitable for any savage dancefloor. A2 'Adrenochrome' is a hardcore drum and bass track with splintering breaks and massive sub-bass. B1 'Thermal Metafaze' is a ferocious track that shreds up time and space with some frenetic breakcore and fat lines of snarling narcotic synths. This track is very sinister sounding. B2 'Afterlife' transcends through .. . . . . . . . . cascading spirals of euphoric bliss emerge from sub-tangents of entangled realities perforated against a backdrop of serene darkness.. . . . .
This record was mastered and cut at Optimum Mastering in Bristol. The record sleeve was designed by techno-digital artist Paradukt.
