Acetate Zero come from Paris, France and are often compared to last weeks stars Hood. Their new album sounds more like Mogwai. The first track is very much like Mogwai with a build up squealing noise. A calm sets in for track two and the guitars start to ring effectively and a duelling male and female vocals sung in French/broken English. It sounds like Movietone if anything and, as you know dear reader, this is always a good thing. Track 3 samples The Magnetic Fields and then pours all manner of effected guitars over the top with hints of a more laid back 65 Days of Static.
