Adam Green is annoying for several reasons - mainly the fact that he can't pose for a photo without having his mouth drooping open. Last years magnificent single 'Jessica' was a reason to give him the benefit of the doubt - a magnificent melodic gem that suggested that Green could be a Neil Diamond for the new millenium. The recent single 'Emily' however was seen round here as one of the worst songs that had ever been played at the towers. The new album is marginally better - it tries desperately hard to out quirk the last Fiery Furnaces album but quite often Adam Green comes across similar to when a comedian does a spin off album (see Vic Reeves or Bill Cosby). Everything has to have fucking punchline. Mr Green has a great voice and knows the right people - he just needs to write some decent songsBe the first to review this record.
