Now this is more like it! Professional Welsh mentalist, Gruff Rhys from SFA, has his debut solo nutter-core album out & It's simple, infectious & organic tribal soul music straight from the Valleys. Stripped down, gently layered & hypnotic stuff. All instruments played by his good self just about. You can't argue with the directness & charm of this great 11 song Welsh language set. On Placid Casual in uber-snazzy limited packaging. LP & CD (my LP of the week by the way!!)

'Yr Atal Genhedlaeth' is the new solo album by Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals. The record is released on Monday 24 January 2005, and features eleven tracks as follows: 'Yr Atal Genhedlaeth', 'Gwn Mi Wn', 'Epynt', 'Rhagluniaeth' 'Ysgafn', 'Pwdiw Ŵy 1', 'Pwdiw Ŵy 2', 'Y Gwybodusion', 'Caerffosiaeth', 'Ambell Waith', 'Ni Yw Y Byd', 'Chwarea'n Troi'n Chwerw'.
The album is available on CD and Vinyl, with a special limited-edition version also available initially on both formats. You can order direct from the new Super Furry Animals Online Shop. A limited edition, double b-side single precedes the album release by a week - 'Ni Yw Y Byd/Gwn Mi Wn' is also available from the SFA Shop.
