Xiu Xiu??  Once again I can spell it better than I can say it which makes me feel stupid. Not a good start when I'm about to write a review of your new compact disc on Acuarela now is it? I actually like this a lot and I couldn't possibly categorise it. Very odd, bizarre, deconstructed acoustic music with electronics and vocals. Interesting gear like....

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
