First up Lou Barlow. You have to hand it to him - the man has written some great songs over the years. But not recently. Here's his new solo album which isn't a patch on the old Sebadoh/Sentridoh stuff but is a million squillion times better than that last travesty of an album by The Folk Implosion. Its in a folky vein and it sounds like he's been listening to James Yorkston. It has some tasteful 'adult' instrumentation but its not really ever too smooth. Its kind of homespun and pleasant.
