Stylus. My record player has one of these & believe me, they're really handy for making NOISE come out of those big floppy black discs I can't stop traipsing home with week after week. They're also a Welsh drifting ambient act previously renowned for unleashing such sleepy sonic classicism on the esteemed Ochre imprint. I had no idea what the title 'Eisteddfod' meant & such was my curiosity I consulted Google & this is what I got -  "The National Eisteddfod of Wales can be traced back to 1176 when it is said that the first Eisteddfod was held, under the auspices of Lord Rhys, at his castle in Cardigan. There he held a grand gathering to which were invited poets and musicians from all over the country. A chair at the Lord's table was awarded to the best poet and musician, a tradition that prevails in the modern day National Eisteddfod." So there. You learn summat every day. This was recorded live at this ancient arts fest in 2002 & has some truly captivating moments of clanking beauty & experimental intrigue. Available on CD thru Irrational Arts.
