A knackered Clint here with the first batch of goodies. The first thing to fall into my grubby mitt is the new single from Cass McCombs - a 2 track CD. 2 tracks that's 1 2 - I mean does anyone really think he's going to get into the charts especially when you consider the music concealed within. Side A is aiming for the 80's Echo and the Bunnymen style majesty but comes across somewhere between The Smiths and A Flock of Seagulls. I quite like it but it does tend to wander around like a dog chasing its own tail. The B side is really, really poor - I mean it has the makings of a good song but Mr McCombs wails and screeches as if he's Prince which he's not.Be the first to review this record.
