What we say This record left our Phil feeling happy. The new Polyphonic Spree single is called Two Thousand Places cos that's how many places they can be in at once. 2000 solo gigs...... I guess it wouldn't sound as much like St Winifreds School choir as much. Still I like this and once I can past the whole evangelical feel this is undeniably a good tune. Mind you with that many folks in the band you'd hope that at least one of 'em could write a decent tune. Lovely.

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
