The Third Eye Foundation
Oumupo 1

This record left our Brian feeling happy.
A really curious new CD by Matt Elliott, aka Third Eye Foundation. This appears to be a music/comic book style collaboration with a lovingly assembled booklet of curious single still art by Jochen Gerner. The music by TEF is well nice, bringing forth hints of the recent Julian Fane CD on Planet Mu, like a hazy journey of electronics, percussion, handclaps, post rock & woozy & mad Tom Waits olden days soundtrack stuff with much more besides. An indescribably interesting & arresting piece of eclectica. A heady, intoxicating brew indeed!

What their label says...
The result is up to the expectations. Matt Elliot a.k.a. The Third Eye
Foundation succeed in recreating the crepuscular atmosphere of these
songs. As far as the comic is concerned, Jochen Gerner draws a strange
and experimental weather report.
