Rating: happy This record left our Brian feeling happy.

Q & Not U seem to be turning into The Rapture. A taste for !!! style punk-funk & penchant for my-knackers-are-being-squeezed-by-Brian Glover style Prince bleatings would normally have me reaching for the off button & the nearest bin but these guys are savvy, infectious & have proved themselves to be diverse & talented tunesmiths in the past so I can handle this. 'Power' is their latest full length on Dischord & finds them exploring different sonic avenues from before, whilst retaining their post-hardcore roots. Somewhere between the previous bands mentioned & Trans Am crossed with The Dismebermant Plan. Jolly good & a real grower! CD/LP
