This record left our Brian feeling ecstatic.
DJ/ Rupture. Now he's a diamond geezer. I'd like to see him battering The Ordinary Boys to death with his 4 technics decks. His debut artist album is here at last, after all those bizarre & compulsive mix CDs we've had over the past couple of years. His obsession with off-kilter rhythms, Eastern sound collage, dub, reggae & ragga inflected dancehall is totally to the fore on 'Special Gunpowder', a melting pot of odd breaks, great basslines, fresh textures & tripped out moods. Loads of quality guest MCs liberally splatter his work with complimentary skits & rhymes. A flooring, unique & original talent delvers a smashing debut all said & done!
