The Delgados. They should be called The DelGAYdos really. Why do bands carry on when they've got nowt new to say? I always used to quite rate them to be honest, even when they started recording with Dave Fridmann & let themselves be turned into a Scottish Mercury Rev when there really was no need for one. But this is like yr old fat brother going back into the local of his youth & trying to woo the young ladies but to no avail cos all the flair & charm he once had had faded to a rather dull shade of grey & the times have moved on. The single is just really average & could be done with more panache by B&S or Camera Obscura even. C'mon guys?! Admit it. You'll never get anywhere near the pinnacle of grand indie pop perfection that was 'Peloton' for my money......'Universal Audio' receives a disappointing 6/10 if ever there was one.....Be the first to review this record.
