Righto then. When you're down & jaded that there's nothing truly new, fresh & exiting in the broad spectrum that is the world of popular music, that It's all been said & done a million times over, then who do you count on to return with something astounding? Yes. Bjork. The Icelandic wonder pixie is back with a brand new album & It's jawdropping. 'Medulla' is the title & it follows 'Vespertine's beats & vocals minimalism into even more exotic & alien territory. Recorded with choirs from Iceland & London & centering on the power of voice as an instrument, this is a sonic adventure that will have you shaking your head as to how the majority of pop musicians can dare to leave their houses in a morning. The beats are sparse but when fully utilized bring a delicate richness to the already delicious delights on offer. Clint has just informed us Mike Patton features on at least 2 tracks here. How do you go from 'Digging The Grave' to this? Assistance as always from her right hand men Matmos & Mark Bell who compliment this amazing album beautifully. On One little Indian in a vast array of formats.
