Cove - Hi-Watt

I'd really like to be a fly on the wall when these guys start to write a song. Cove are one of those bands, y'know the type. The type that play like they're trying to find something out from their instruments, like if they do a certain combination of riffs and melodies and change them around a million times over they might find the meaning of life or something. But fortunately for them, Cove never lose sight of the fact that while they're doing this a tune is never far away. I could listen to music like this all day, I really could, this is music to watch with a really loud PA at your disposal, or music to listen to on your headphones because you want to hear the exact details of what is going down. I think if you hate words like 'experimental', 'post rock' and 'quirky' then don't even think about checking Cove out, but if those are buzz words on your band selection criteria then give Cove a shot, what have you got to lose? Apart from your sanity that is.
