The best song I've heard al year is the opening track to Jay Walk Snail's 'The Drunken Driver' CD. Its called 'Holly Scott and the Aerial' an absolutely immaculate piece of gorgeous shimmering pop somewhere between Elliott Smith and Pinback. It's utterly superb and is my song of the year. How can I recommend an album on the basis of one track? Well this is a double CD and there's plenty of other nice tracks - sometimes it delves into twee-pop territory other times it comes across like Grandaddy or Death Cab for Cutie.
