I've been well impressed by the Charlotte Hatherley single so here's her new full length CD - how will it fare? Well the first track is one of the most magnificent blasts of power pop this side of The Pixies 'Allison'. It goes hither, thither, backwards and forwards - about 10 songs in one AND its called 'Kim Wilde'. I DEMAND it is the next single. The rest of the album has its moments - sometimes it wanders into stadium territory -but sometimes there's these complicated little 3 minute pop songs that other than Ash I can only compare to the great late 70's power pop bands (like The Shoes or The dB's) or Apples in Stereo and their like.
