Although Jens Lekman has proven he can write a heartfelt song or two and has a rubbery brown croon to kill for, he spends most of his time irritating me. We have another EP in by him on Secretly Canadian, the lead track of which is just horrid and wouldn't sound out of place on the Eurovision song contest. Its all knowing winks with this guy. At his best he conjours up images of Divine Comedy or The Legendary Jim Ruiz group. Weren't they great? Whatever happened to them? (Hopefully nothing horrid).
