Here's a new CD by Kettel. A group/person who do impress me much. In fact I often play their compositions when I disc jockey down at the local dance. This is much more ambient than what I'm used to. I'm wanting some of those Prefuse 73 type tracks that he's so good at but this is just ambient stuff....Reimer Eising aka Kettel has produced his 5th CD album specially for U-cover Records.
After his well received albums for Kracfive, Neo Ouija and Dub Recordings, Kettel returns to his all-time love for ambient music. The result is a beautiful, unique, fresh, emotional and exquisite piece of work.
Based on fine melodic electronica, fieldrecordings, piano, -he started playing piano at the age of 3- and spare rhythms, Kettel shows his ability for mixing all musical components resulting in a very personal and distinctive sound.
'Volleyed Iron' is an amazing joyful record full of bright sounds that are rarely to find in any ambient record before.
Throughout his young but very productive career Kettel has contributed to the electronic scene with his playful, beautiful and unique style. He is for sure an act that we should keep an eye on.
