Anyone miss Eric Gaffney from Sebadoh? Well I totally fucked them off after he left because, well, they went a bit shat didn't they? The little madhead has turned up with a new band called 'Fields of Gaffney' who have a split 7" out with Pernath.(on Morc again) 2 tracks of post Seb' lo-fi indie pop. Nothing strikingly new but quality stuff regardless, in the vein of Sebadoh III, & 1000 times better than any of Barlow's recent efforts, if anyone's still listening out there. Pernath do the detuned lo-fi jangle thing with those yearning Built To Spill style vox in there. Nice to see peeps making records like this still!Be the first to review this record.
