Stampeding off to more deranged pastures, our huge roaming sniffer dog finds the slightly fruity aroma of Kid Spatula's new DOUBLE CD on Planet Mu rather appealing. 34 tracks veering from the glam electro pop disco stomp of opener 'Housewife' to gentler Mu-Ziq-ey toytown melodicism, taking on board old skool wibble breaks, woozy chill out interludes & add n (to x) style distort-pop. A right old mixed bag & I'm only half way through the first CD! Clearly the work of Mr. Mike Paradinas, he doesn't disappoint in his quest to bring quirky fun into the po-faced realms of the increasingly stale IDM scene.
