Love 'em. I bought one record of theirs last year and very promptly bought the whole lot. I thought their last album was slightly uninspired in places despite one or two lovely songs so its nice to see that there's a new 5 track EP out on Acuarela. Oh they have a sound of their own this lot. It always sounds like they've recorded their music in a dusty room in the late 60's. There's bits of Nick Drake here as well as some of the mid to late 80's bands I used to like so much like those on Sarah........I have to break off as they've just begun a guitar solo. My goodness me. There's a few piano pieces & stuff on here as well which fill up a bit of space but aren't as essential as the songs with singing on them. Ariadne is CD only

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
