Nottingham's mighty fine Seachange have a new single out, 'News From Nowhere' off their LP 'Lay Of The Land' I just cannot shake the whole Cable with cellos thing with this lot. The singer sounds the same, the dynamics (however gentler & slower) are reminiscent of tunes like Freeze The Atlantic without the hardcore shouty bits. I dunno. Has anyone else out there noticed these little similarities? The tunes are all ace. It's the minimal chords & the heartfelt ness, the unmistakable sound of an underrated Midlands band on an American indie giant.
