A new Adam Green 7" on Rough Trade (no CD folks). This is fantastic stuff. The fella can really right songs and all of his songs sound like cover versions of old famous songs. That and his deep warm voice..... makes you want to curl up with a nice cup of cocoa You're sure you've heard 'em before. Classy.... Aside from the awful cover of Born To Run on the B side. He should stick to his own songs.....

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
