Heres a new full length CD by Josh Ritter which starts off in that David Gray-lite way that seems to infect a lot of the singer-songwriter brigade. By track three though he has his Nick Drake impersonation perfected. It was at this point that I felt like switching off and relegating Mr Ritter to the pastiche bin. But, but, but after that early hiccup the CD gets off the ground and finds its own voice. There's some really good songs here if you care to scrat about for them. Think Neil Young or Damien Jurado.
