A Japanese chap called Motohiro Nakashima has a nice CD of twinkling electronica out on Lo. 'And I Want To Sleep' is billed as Aphex meets Burt Bacarach or summat but I say arse to that. Just melodic & thoughtful electronica with the emphasis on melody & prettyness. It's not aimless fluff either, by any stretch of the imagination. A really warm, if not hugely original, collection of tunes. If I dare say it, this falls under the 'folktronica' banner.
