Which pidgin Spanish brings me to the new album by Savath and Savalas. Zzzzzzzzzzzz...sorry I just nodded off where was I? Oh yeah Savath and Savalas. Well this is the alter ego of Scott Herren who as you know is Prefuse 73. He's an amazing producer, the sounds he gets are just incredible and so lovely and warm but regrettably this album really is one long yawn fest. It's so coffee table it might as well be wearing a Dido t-shirt. Having said this I might change my mind when listening to it out on the veranda on a warm august night watching the sun go down whilst sipping a gin and tonic from a long elegant glass But on a drab rainy January and after 4 plays it still does nothing for me.
