Grandaddy on the other hand have done nowt but disappoint me with the lacklustre bland-fest that is 'Sumday'. 'I'm on Standby' surfaces as the 3rd single off said limp cock of an album & ok, it's a nice song but it's just a weak parody of a rather wonderful band from Modesto, CA I still adore. It's a double 'A' is this bugger & 'Stray Dog & The Chocolate Shake' is the superior side. A Strokes-ey chug underpinned by the usual plethora of Grandaddy sound effects & a the amiable charm we all know & love. The extra track on the CD does it for me though. 'The Town Where I'm Livin' Now' is surely missing from It's rightful home (i.e. The Sophtware Slump') & should be held up high as a gorgeous lost classic from my fave bearded skateboarders. 7" & one cd only.Be the first to review this record.
