I seem to be one of the few people prowling this earth to have enjoyed DJ Shadow's recent album more than the first one (come on! 'Entroducing' was shit wasn't it?). Anyway we have a new double 12"/CD called Mashin' On The Motorway from the man with plenty of mixes from the likes of Soulwax, Tokyo Ghetto Tech, Unkle (featuring Roots Manuva) and DJ Z-trip. Although the Unkle one isn't exactly undesirable its the Soulwax mix that is the highlight. They place that 'Six Days' vocal over an old B52's tune which just re-emphases what an awesome band the beehived ones are/were.Some bonus beats and radio edits round the whole thing off nicely. The CD comes with a bonus DVD containing some video's.Be the first to review this record. Best reviewer each month gets £10 off their next order!
