In these days of opening a 'music' paper to find the most cutting edge thing is a photo of The White Stripes snuggling up to Justin McTimberlake, its very reassuring to note that there's a new album by The Dead C. A fantastic noise band out of Dunedin, New Zealand, The Dead C have influenced hoards of guitar screechers over the years including Sonic Youth and Pavement. This new one starts out quite accessible, very noisy with 3D's like vocals. The second track seemed to be just a load of industrial noise and the third track is a feedback and drums souffle.
