Tripophon - The Sheriffs Lady Was A Polka

The Sheriffs Lady Was A Polka by Tripophon

Next an album by Tripophon called "The Sheriffs lady was a polka" Ha! Whats that all about? Anyway its quite odd. It all sounds too fast to me - unless it plays at 16rpm. I've already heard bongo's and a wah wah guitar so I'll move on quickly.

Bandname and title indicate the variety in influences and sounds that make this album so attractive. A trip through different times and places. There is Garagerock, there is Bossa Nova, there is Funk, Electronica and Country with pedalsteel guitar. Some titles even refer to classic songs of pop history, but this is just another feint. Initially Sheriffs Lady was self-released on CD by the band with the double number of titles. Schinderwies presents a selection of 12 songs on vinyl only.
