Parsley Sound produced one of the best singles of last year with the magnificent 'Ease yourself and Glide' a near perfect 3 minutes of laid back pop recalling Elliot Smith and Badly Drawn Boy. Quite excellent. Parlsye Sounds, their debut full length on Mo Wax never remotely reaches those dizzying highs. Of course the aforementioned single opens the proceedings in stonking style. The rest glides along nicely but forgettably. its kind of hazy '60's Beta Band ish in places and seems to be wandering lost in others. Its never offensive but for me, far too inoffensive, although there's some nice bits.Be the first to review this record. Best reviewer each month gets £10 off their next order!
