Sleeve of the week goes to Kid Acne's new LP 'Council Pop' which as the title suggests is very home-grown & brings to mind lots of blocks of flats & bust sofas leaking highly flammable foam everywhere. A man in glasses & a beard wearing a bodywarmer with a dog on a lead with one of those lampshades round it's neck. And a cat in a basket. Walking down the road in broad daylight. Classic. Mental lo-fi hip-hop with piss funny Shaun Ryder-esque lyrics is the game here. Features the line 'I'm coming through like a right fat knacker' which just destroys me every time.
