Gold Chains - Young Miss America

Young Miss America by Gold Chains

3...according to our on Sun 31 Dec, 2006.

Clint here. First up in my grubby hands is the new one by Gold Chains. Since he did that great track with the Stereolab sample (you know the one Rock the Partyyyy!). I've not been over keen on a lot of his output. It seems like a lot of his stuff is similar to that found in the lower reaches of today's hit parade...but not as good. I can't figure out if he's trying to be a mainstream rapper or is trying to be hip to the underground. He seems to fall somewhere between. The music here isn't bad - a lot of it seems to come from the more than useful hand of Kit Clayton. But despite a few highlights Young Miss America doesn't really inspire on a consistent basis.
