Its Clint here - hello - to round up a few more of the weeks releases. First up Yuppie Flu. New album. Prior to this album on Homesleep the highlight of their career must have been appearing on a recent Jonathon Whiskey 7" (copies still available). That marvellous track reapeears here in a re-recorded version. Lots of folky guitars and strings and electronic beats. The guy's voice is a bit odd though. I guess the nearest comparison is the Notwist but with more depth and variation. Days before The Day is CD only

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
